The Isle of Man is full of surprises for you to discover on your holiday. From hidden paths to discover while out walking through to great dining and theatre experiences you are sure to find every day unlike the last.
If you are a fan of wildlife watching one thing that may stand out is the ability to see whales and dolphins off the Manx coast. In fact, the Isle of Man is one of the best places in the UK to view these hard to spot creatures.
The Manx Whale and Dolphin watch was set up in June 2006 and continues to run to this day, with their website listing details of sightings, as well as a gallery of encounters in Manx waters.
If you and your family want a chance to see these creatures during your holiday then the best method is to first head to a popular spot where there are known to be sightings. The Sound is an ideal location with a great view from the cafe where you can sit in comfort until you make a sighting. Ideally try to get there when the sea is calm. Then, with a pair of binoculars, wait and see what you can see.
Further information can be found on the Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch website.
