Port St Mary Golf club, situated in the South of the Island, was founded in 1903 and is the Island's only 9 hole course. Designed by George Duncan, 1920 British Open Champion it provides a number of challenges as you play.
One of the major draws of this course is the views during your game. In particular the views out over the 2 bays of Port St Mary are considered the best of any golf course on the Island by many.
In addition to the 5770 yard par 68 for men (or 70 for ladies) course there is a practice putting green if you want to work on that area of your golf skills. Also at the location is the pavilion Restaurant with bar service for a snack before or after your game.
Due to the location of the course it is another great spot to visit if you have brought the car on the ferry to the Island during your visit and want to experience some incredible scenery during your game.
Although a small village Port St Mary has several pubs and dining options for you to relax and grab a bite to eat in after your round of golf. Plus, for that authentic Manx experience, you can get the steam train from here, running though the south of the Island and ending at Douglas.
