While the Isle of Man is well known for its countryside, coastal vistas and annual motorsport events, it also has a rich artistic history which you may want to view and possibly even take part in.
Set in Silverdale Glen, just outside Castletown in the South of the Island, is Craftworks Studio. This is a fully equipped ceramic studio offering you and your family the opportunity to paint your own pottery and take home a unique souvenir of your Manx holiday. Once you have chosen and painted your piece it will be glazed and fired on the premises ready for you to take home.
Silverdale Glen is itself a great destination for you and your family during your trip. With an extensive play area and large boating lake there is plenty to keep kids entertained after they have painted their pottery. The Park is owned by the Manx National Trust and is well maintained with clear paths through the woodland. On site you will also find the Silverdale cafe & Restaurant.
Further information can be found on the Craftworks Studio website or on their Facebook page.
