The Evolution of the TT
The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy was born out of a passion for motorcycle racing, starting due to the refusal of the British government to host races on public roads. The Manx government was more forthcoming, passing new legislation to allow the races to be held and thus, the TT had arrived.
The race soon became iconic, and the introduction of the Snaefell Mountain Course soon after induction has led to one of the most prestigious tracks in motor racing. The magic of the TT is enjoyed by thousands every year that travel to the island to view the spectacle first hand.
We have taken a look at how this incredible event has grown since its inception, looking at the landmark records, riders and races to bring you “The Evolution of the TT”.
