Peel, in the West of the Island, is a perfect spot to visit during your holiday on the Isle of Man. With Peel Castle, The House of Mannanan, and other heritage sites there is plenty to do to keep you and your family entertained in the area.
The Manx Transport Heritage Museum in Peel one of the lesser known attractions in the area. At 60 square metres it is small but packed with exhibits for you to look at. These include a model train and railway exhibit, motoring exhibit, historic movie clips and collectibles from different forms of transport around the Island.
In addition to the other exhibits the highlight of the museum is a P50. This is the smallest legal road car in the world and was manufactured in Peel in 1964.
The museum is free entry and is open weekends 1pm -5pm from Easter to September, and non-race days during TT & MGP 1pm-5pm.
