Similar to the UK’s ‘Tough Mudder’ events, the Isle of Man has its very own ‘Tough Mann’ endurance event – guaranteed to be every bit as brutal!
Set over a 10 km obstacle course in Ballaugh in the North-West of the Island, the challenging terrain is a mixture of muddy farmland, bogs, hills and forests. Certainly not for the faint-hearted, this is an extreme test of strength and endurance for athletes – and popular with those from the UK looking to test their skills on new terrain.
With a festival atmosphere back at base once the course has been completed, party into the night and celebrate survival of the fittest in style!
Additional information on the event can be found on the Tough Mann website.
Tough Mann takes place on Saturday 5th August 2017 at Ballamoar Farm in Ballaugh.
The challenge will have you running, walking and crawling over 10k of Manx Countryside. There will be 25 obstacles such as the The Beast, The Mud Spa, Ice Dips and Monkey Bars.
You will be jumping over cars, climbing Killer Hill, clambering over hay bales and crawling through muddy bogs.
All competitors who complete the course will receive a victory t-shirt and a Bushy’s beer. As usual a beer tent will be available, along with entertainment, food vans, live music, toilets and showers.
NB On-the-day timings may be amended according to the organisers’ discretion.
For your peace of mind, a £2.50 per person ATOL Protection Contribution applies to all air holidays.
